reference guide and resource for the various Fender
headstock decals used on the guitar and bass models from the
1950’s through the 1970’s.
I have broken these waterslide decals down by year, but
there is often some overlap, as Leo Fender and the later CBS
managers never wasted any production materials. There
are also many minor variations which are a result of the two
color printing process. Fender waterslide decals were
produced by several printers over the years, with varying
levels of quality control.
These headstock decals are extremely accurate reproductions
of the old Fender models, based on actual originals.
As a longtime Fender owner and player, I have decided to
share these decals with other fans of the Fender brand.
If the model and year decal is available, it is marked with
an add to cart button. Even if the decal is not
available, I have included it for reference.
These are very high quality decals with real metallic gold
or silver ink. They are not cheap inkjet decals.
The decals are pre-coated with acrylic lacquer so they are
ready to install. I do recommend covering them
with a protective top coat of nitro or acrylic clear lacquer
after installation.
I provide a webpage with detailed instructions
for applying the decals with or without a topcoat.
Please note that you do have to cut out the outline of the
decal image from the square decal material before applying.

think they are the highest quality and most accurate
reproduction decals you’ve seen, send them back for a
